Winter toes refer to an abnormal reaction of the skin to the cold. After exposure to cold temperatures, you may experience skin that is painful, red and swollen.
Winter toes occur during cold periods in the following way:
The swelling on top of or around your toes can be extremely painful. Especially once your feet have warmed up again. Fortunately, you can now do something about it!
• Moisturize a rich moisturizing cream into your toes.
• Do not attempt to warm up your feet suddenly if they are cold as this might increase pain and itching.
• Do not sleep with socks on! In addition to not looking sexy, it also causes your feet to warm up and might further aggravate your complaints.
