The thin stripes from the 90’s are definitely a thing of the past, but unfortunately not everyone is blessed with a full eyebrow. Fortunately, there is a solution for that wanted look. We have listed 5 simple steps so that you can achieve the perfect brow! Step 1. Remove Excess Hair First things first, start plucking your eyebrows. Tip: Do this after your shower. The heat of the water causes the capillaries to expand, making it easier for the hairs to release and, the best part, it’s less painful! Use tweezers such as Herome’s Precision Tweezer with a sharp tip that fits in the hand so you can easily remove the finest hairs. After this, comb the hairs back into shape. Decide how thick you want your eyebrows to be and what fits your natural eyebrow shape. Pluck the hairs that don’t belong. By removing these hairs you have taken the first step towards creating the perfect brow! Not sure how to determine your eyebrow shape? Check out our blog about determining the right eyebrow shape. Step 2. Decide your brow colour After removing excess hairs, choose an eyebrow colour that matches your hair colour. The colour choice also depends on the makeup you wear and what you want to radiate, but in general you can assume the following: Blonde hair: 2-3 shades darker than your hair colour Brown hair: Go for light brown or up to 2 shades darker than your hair colour Black hair: 1-2 shades lighter than your hair colour Step 3. Choose the right products Once you’ve picked the right colour, it’s time to get started. You can use different products to define your eyebrows, it just depends on what kind of look you want to create. Eyebrow pencil Use an eyebrow pencil if you want to draw extra hairs or if you need to fill in ‘gaps. A pencil is great for precision work. Make sure you follow the direction of the hair and do this with soft strokes. This will help prevent dark, unnatural stripes. Did you accidentally create darker stripes? Don’t worry! Blend these lines using an eyebrow brush. Eyebrow Powder For full and impressive eyebrows, use a fine eyebrow powder or a pomade. Apply a little powder to an angled brush such as the Herome Duo Brow Brush. Start before the centre of your eyebrow and spread the powder evenly. Follow the natural lines of your eyebrows. Then apply the last bit of powder at the beginning of your eyebrow. This helps to create a nice transition from light to dark for a natural effect. Finding it difficult to draw the perfect eyebrow? Herome also has Brow Stencils to lend you a hand. You can hold these shapes in front of your eyebrows to determine the right shape. Step 4. Use eyebrow gel for a long lasting effect The right eyebrow gel keeps the eyebrow hairs in shape all day long. Through snow and blizzards: your eyebrows will stay on point. The Herome Brow Gel also gives the colour an extra boost! Looking for a long-lasting fixation? Then the Brow Gel Professional is the product for you. Step 5. Finish it off with highlighter For a real wow brow, a highlighter is the perfect last step. Apply this shimmer under your eyebrow arch. The shape of your beautifully drawn eyebrows will be emphasised. Your face also immediately looks slimmer and longer. Choose from Herome’s different highlighter colours to really complete your look!
